It’s always informative to hear what other people have to say. Here is a sample of what some past clients have said:

I want to thank you for your help in my relationships and money issues. You are a great listener, and have the ability to quickly assess what is going on and communicate how the mind processes and behaviors work. After approximately three months of counseling, I feel more positive and aware of how my behavior is affecting my life and how to change that behavior.

My relationships have improved, and I have plans for finding a job that will fill my financial needs and also be enjoyable. I have confidence that I have the power to create more security in my life. You have given me skills to recognize when I am falling back into a scarcity pattern and also how to deal with depression and negative thoughts that only keep me in that space.

You have a very nice way of being supportive without being accusatory or judgmental. Yet, you are very direct and honest. Thank you so much for your help!

Just a quick note - because I think about you and wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed our coaching together (wow it was over three years ago now!). Do you remember that when we were working together you helped me make the decision to leave my part time job at the little print shop and go full time freelance? That had to be one of the smartest (and hardest) decisions I have ever made. I come up against tough decisions sometimes and I get the urge to call you for help. However, for some reason, I also learned that I am empowered and I can figure it out on my own! You tend to be the voice in my head, urging me to do what I truly feel is right. There is a special place in my heart for you, and I just wanted you to know that.

As a child, we grew up valuing independence and a strong work ethic. Both my parents worked hard and my brother and I got jobs early on to earn extra spending money. We grew up 'having enough' although some times I sensed things were tight. To this day, I value this hard work ethic and independence. However, it wasn't until I was working with Shell that I realized that I learned that I HAD to earn money... in order to enjoy it and even spend it. Why was gift certificates I received going for 'needed items' but never 'me' toys? Because I technically didn't earn it. Why was I continually reminding my kids about doing their chores before they play? Because they had to 'earn it'. (OK I'm not totally tossing that out). Why was it hard for me to accept gifts I thought were extravagant? Because I questioned if I earned it.

Shell helped me see where this came from and more importantly how to begin to change it. I'm working on "being me" and all the other 'non jobs' things I do as enough. I'm working on realizing that everything doesn't have to be hard or earned. It can be easy!!! What a relief!!! Thanks, Shell.

When I began working with Shell, my husband and I approached conversations about money with a lot of tension and anxiety, criticism and defensiveness. Many conversations devolved into painful arguments which left us feeling trapped and wounded. As a result of working with Shell, today we can approach the same topics with ease and even a sense of humor! We understand that we have different values around money and so we can listen to each other without rushing to judgment. Then we respectfully find solutions and compromises with relative ease... and we seem to be attracting more money too! The impact on our marriage has been more trust and contentment.

It's important to note that Shell did not coach both of us... just me. Yet somehow the work she did with me seemed to transfer to my husband. As I shifted, he did too. It's neat how that works!!

Shell is a fantastic coach! She is personable, humorous, playful, direct and honest. I would recommend Shell as a coach to anyone who wants to bust their limiting beliefs around money, attract more fun and abundance!

I'd also recommend her to coaches in training. She was my coach through the CTI Certification program so we juggled an additional agenda which related to mentoring and developing my own coaching skills. As a mentor coach she 100% champions your abilities and offers concrete ideas for how to address challenges that come up during advanced training.

If Shell were a movie, I'd give her 4 stars, 2 thumbs up, A+!

What’s the best way to get someone to leave you alone? Say “I can’t afford it”. I recommend Shell to my patients and friends who bring up the “money thing”. Shell asks the tough questions and the right questions to prompt my conscious and unconscious mind to see the false realities and the realities that could be (or are!). She has powerful suggestions and tools for dealing with the old bugaboos of my false money beliefs—beliefs like “I’ll never earn what I want” to “I’m not worth that much”. Getting unstuck from an under earning rut is what it’s been about for me. Getting out of resentment and into the cash flow is an ongoing process for me and Shell has held my hand along the way.

This coaching is more than just money. Shell knows that money is intertwined tightly with everything else about who we are, where we come from and who we want to be. She has helped me through some personal and family issues with her therapeutic gentleness, wisdom and oftentimes funny humor. I am blessed to have met her and have her as a coach. Hooray Shell! Yeah team!

I am on an incredible journey that seems to have no end. When I first came to Shell, I was stressed, confused and dissatisfied in many ways. She listened and heard beyond my words, shining light into my darkness so I could see. With trust, compassion, humor and acceptance, Shell acknowledged and championed me. And I was able to relax and explore deeply, opening to self-inquiry. Her wellspring of energy, knowledge and intuition provided fertile ground for the seeds of self discovery.

As a mentor she helped me chart a course that aligned my passion with purpose and action. Today, my life is very different. I feel I operate from a more authentic sense of who I am.

I am happier, more aware, more fulfilled and more adventuresome. With much gratitude, I thank the Universe for bringing us together and know she will touch many hearts and minds with her life's work and abundant spirit.

I recently completed several months of coaching with Shell Tain. My experience was literally transformative. Shell helped me to shine a really big light on my money Gremlins (some I knew I had, others were a surprise!). Then, in her unique way, supported me and coached me to silence those nasty Gremlins. For years, I hated, feared, dreaded, and studiously avoided almost anything to do with money. I can't exactly say we're the best of friends yet, but we are way past being merely nodding acquaintances. I can balance my checkbook without getting a rash!

Seriously, Shell has a way of completely holding you as creative, resourceful and whole AND holds you accountable. My favorite past-time used to be hiding. Shell blew that away. I couldn't hide ................ so I faced my fears around money, and now I am in a totally different place than I was when we began our relationship.

If you're looking for a strong coach, for one who will really hold you BIG, and you are serious about changing, then Shell is absolutely for you.

Shell has been instrumental in guiding me past many of the barriers I had to being happy with what I was doing in my business and personal life. Even with an MBA and several business start-ups behind me, I never imagined how much I was held back by preconceived myths about money. Shell's style is direct and credible, yet empathetic as she lifts the veiled truths that are keeping you from reaching your potential in your economic world.

What does money mean to you? How is it truly acquired, managed, and deployed to great effect without making it a measure of yourself? There in lies 'the rub' and where I have a better set of tools to do the above, I have more fun, and sleep at night. Thanks Shell!
